Accessing the internet

The next task was to access the internet using GPRS. This was a pleasure - not having to worry about any bluetooth connections - just open up a web page and surf away. GPRS definitely makes internet access less torturous than traditional GSM dial up connections, a lot easier to chew up your allotted transfer though!

The SMS integration with the Inbox was great! I currently use a third party product to read SMS messages off my T39 and reply to them using my Pocket PC. Integrating SMS right into the Inbox makes this unnecessary and is effortless.

Give me more

Where can I buy one now! As soon as they are available in the US I'll be in line for an XDA. It's a fait accompli - I'm a one-piece guy. As a developer, the convergence of the Pocket PC and the cellular phone in a Pocket PC Phone Edition 2002 device like the XDA completes the loop and will allow me to evangelise wireless solutions based on this type of device. Hopefully the configuration support from the carriers will allow enterprises to roll out these devices without too much pain. If you haven't used a Pocket PC then you will probably gravitate to the Smartphone for your all in one device, if you're a Pocket PC user or you require the screen real estate the Smartphone lacks then this is the device to use!
